Hopefully you are receiving some sort of benefits through WINZ to help through this rough time. Have you checked www.trademe.co.nz or www.seek.co.nz.? www.agriseek.com might also be a place to look. Good luck - there aren't a lot of jobs out there, but you might find something. My partner went to all the dairy farms on our road, plus went to the farm stores and posted a paper for relief milking jobs. He didn't get much response but he does have one farm that calls him pretty often. But we are in northland, too, and your husband might have better luck where you are.
